The job
You will be reporting to the commercial director and the main purpose of the role will be to provide contract management to the supply chain and to customer contacts. You will also provide legal advice but also help facilitate the relationships on the commercial side of external parties.
Main Responsibilities
- You will provide support and advice on new potential businesses opportunities.
- You will provide advice and guidance to the different teams relating to contracting strategy, form, and implementation.
- You will be overseeing and assisting in the preparation, negotiation, execution and management of all contracts within the business to ensure compliance to contractual terms company policies, legislative requirements, and objectives and to identify risk.
- Assisting in the preparation of commercial bids and negotiating contracts.
- Meeting with customers and suppliers to ensure full understanding of contractual requirements.
- Managing and monitoring contractual changes within customer and supplier contracts to maximise opportunities and minimise risks.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met.
- Developing processes to manage key milestones within each contract, including renewals, termination, and key deliverables.

Qualifications and experience
- Law degree (LLB, BA or equivalent legal qualification.
- Working knowledge of local and international contract laws and regulations.
- Solid understanding of legal terminology.
- Strong research skills and in depth understanding of financial analytics and legal agreements.
- Experience in the defence industry.
You MUST BE Eligible for UK Security Clearance to minimum SC ('Secret') level.
