The Energy team here at Advanced Resource Managers are currently recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to join a leading client within the Nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the safe delivery of allocated commissioning work packages by working collaboratively with other members of the site team and Customers organisation.
  • Plan and assess the technical and engineering requirements of work packages so that all identified hazards are adequately managed and controlled.
  • Oversee the implementation of work packages to ensure that work meets the required technical and quality standards hence delivered right first time.
  • Produce Safe Systems of Work (Risk Assessments, Methods Statements etc.) to ensure that supervisors and work teams can be effectively set to work, supervised and are provided with adequate instruction and information so as to complete the work task safely.
  • Set and uphold standards and expectations in line with Company initiatives such as People Who Do The Right Thing and People Who Lead Safely.
  • Manage, control and set to work sub-contractors where applicable (including review and approval of sub-contractors Safe Systems of Work).
  • Ensure those work teams and sub-contractors being set to work have the right tools and equipment, are trained and competent to do the work task being requested.
  • Provide regular reports and information on progress of work against agreed schedules and key performance indicators.
  • Continually monitor all phases of the work so as to identify any risks to planned activities and/or schedule including the implementation of agreed improvements/actions to mitigate against the identified risk.
  • Carry out regular workplace inspections to ensure compliance with relevant Company and Customer standards, expectations, rules and procedures
  • Immediately report any unplanned events or incidents to the Commissioning Manager.
  • Comply with all Company and Customer procedures, site rules and instructions.
  • Supervise, oversee and mentor Commissioning Engineers where applicable (Senior Commissioning Engineer only).

To be considered for this role you will need to hold or be eligible to hold BPSS clearance.
