ARM are delighted to be supporting on of our key Defence clients with the recruitment of a Commercial Officer on a 12 month Fixed term contract.

The Commercial Officer will perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services.

The Role:
* Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the different types of commercial/contract models.
* Ensures Terms and Conditions compliance and define all risks and create and implement solutions to problems and issues as they arise.
* Independently identify, define and implement contract revisions and improvements.
* Liaison with internally, with customers and suppliers in support of above and provide guidance.
* Organise and maintain contract files
* Ensure timeliness of all contract actions and contract close out.
* Keep internal and external stakeholders appraised of current issues.
* Responsible for ensuring flow down of prime contract commercial requirements to suppliers.

Requirements:

* Proven experience as a Commercial Officer or in a similar contracts management role.
* Expertise in managing contracts for major projects, programmes, and complex agreements.
* Strong knowledge of commercial/contract models and risk management.
* Experience in MOD / Defence contracts management.
* Experience in a business development role, supporting capture management and bids.
* Keen attention to detail with strong analytical, report writing, and organisational skills.
* Ability to collaborate with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
