Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Manager, your responsibilities will encompass a wide array of critical tasks aimed at driving business growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Your role will require substantial interaction with external clients and frequent visits to our international offices. You will report directly to the Head of Business Development and collaborate closely with various internal departments.
**1. Client Relationship Management:**
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external clients across Europe and Africa.
- Understand client needs, expectations, and industry trends to provide tailored solutions and services.
**2. Business Development:**
- Identify new business opportunities and markets for expansion within the maritime, energy, and offshore sectors.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to create and execute strategic plans for business growth.
**3. Contract Negotiation and Management:**
- Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee the management of contracts throughout their lifecycle, including renewals and amendments.
**4. Chartering and Logistics:**
- Utilize your background in chartering and logistics to optimize vessel utilization and cargo movement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure efficient vessel deployment and cargo delivery.
**5. Project Management:**
- Utilize your project management experience to oversee complex projects, ensuring successful execution and delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives within established timelines and budgets.
**6. Financial Analysis and Management:**
- Analyze market trends and financial data to support strategic decision-making.
- Manage financial aspects of contracts, pricing, and revenue generation.
**7. Commercial Contract Expertise:**
- Apply your in-depth knowledge of commercial contracts used in the maritime, energy, and offshore industry.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts with an acute attention to detail and legal compliance.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, Law).
- Extensive experience in the maritime, energy, or offshore industry, with a strong background in chartering, business development, contract negotiation, and financing.
- Proven experience in project management, demonstrating the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Solid understanding of commercial contracts commonly used in the industry.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively to international offices and client locations.
