ARM are delighted to be supporting one of our clients with the recruitment of a Buyer to join them on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you are responsible for the management of the material and suppliers for a business area and product line

Responsibilities:

• Receiving requisitions and demands and negotiate with suppliers.
• Process Purchase Orders
• Maintain Supplier open order books inclusive of repairs.
• Ensure that correct and current data is maintained in the Oracle ERP system.
• Negotiating Terms and Conditions, Price Agreements and other contractual documents with suppliers.
• Maintaining strong, effective relationships with suppliers and be able to resolve relationship and performance issues.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction/avoidance through effective negotiation.
• Understanding and communicating key performance indicators for suppliers

Requirements:

• Proven purchasing experience.
• Previous Supplier Management skills.
• Knowledge of Procurement process.
• Computer literate in word & excel
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Analytical skills
• Negotiating and Influencing skills
• Commercial awareness
