My client in the utilities industry are looking for a Business Analyst to join their fast-paced team on an initial 6 month contract.
It would be a great benefit for the candidate to have an Energy Portfolio Management Background
EPM is the energy market's heart of the Business Group, trading commodities and securing value for their asset portfolios in wholesale energy markets. EPM ensures that the energy supplies required to meet the needs of their customers are there, procuring fuel for the organisation's generation plants and selling the power from its wind farms, hydro and low-carbon thermal assets.
Key Accountabilities
* Leads on work to clarify requirements, to plan implementation and to answer queries through the development process
* Oversees delivery of product analysis backlog items across the end-to-end product in an agile environment. Delivery work may include representing and modelling data and information, developing training materials and driving the definition of lean business cases
* Works collaboratively and develops relationships with business users at different levels of the organisation to document requirements and solution specifications
* Plans, prioritises, manages, executes and evaluates analysis work across the product lifecycle
* Works alongside the Product Owner with the business to understand and prioritise conflicting needs
* Assesses impacts and leads the design activities for business processes to accommodate the use of the solution
* Presents complex business and technical concepts to customers at all levels of the organisation.
* Identifies, assesses and evaluates business and IT risk
* Prepares succinct reports and communications on complex business processes and progression that are tailored to different situations and audiences; able to educate others in effective report writing
Additional qualities / Experience
Experience of working in the gas and electricity industry - Specific knowledge of trading would be advantageous
Strong demonstrable experience working in an Agile environment
Experience of Azure DevOps preferred
Must be proactive, enthusiastic with ability to be flexible within a fast moving environment.
