With multiple sites in Shalford, Dunsfold, Warwick and a new purpose-built HQ on its way in Windlesham, the Gordon Murray Group continues to grow with multiple vehicle programmes currently in development. As a result, we currently have exciting opportunities for Bespoke & Series Engineer to join our team based in either Shalford or Dunsfold.
We are building our Bespoke and Series Engineering team to deliver customer requests to make each of our cars truly unique. Within this role you will be working alongside designers, sales, suppliers, quality, purchasing and manufacturing as an integral part of the team delivering to the highest of expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Engineering support to the production team and aftersales.
- Part and system design responsibility from concept through to delivery.
- DFMEA production and maintenance.
- Chair design for manufacture reviews.
- Supplier management and support.
- Lead robust issue resolution and re occurrence prevention.
- Support introduction of engineering changes and customer requests, including BoM management.
- Specify and deliver validation activities.
- Technical ownership of weight, timing and cost.

- Ability to identify and highlight areas for continuous improvement.
- Organised and able to manage own projects.
- Mentor and support professional development of all colleagues, particularly junior staff.
- Perform any other duties that may well be reasonably expected within the remit of the role.
- Ensure compliance with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policy requirements within areas of responsibility.
- Maintain a positive and motivated attitude to drive projects from inception through to completion.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Strong & Proven Industry experience.
- Degree or Equivalent in engineering, science or related discipline.
- Delivery experience of technical products within the automotive or a related industry.
- Advanced Catia 3D and 2D CAD skills.
- Understanding of the product development life cycle from business case inception through to manufacture and in service support.
- Experience of APQP or similar quality integration into project delivery processes with new model introduction requirements.
- Ability to Travel in the UK and internationally as required. (Most of our supplier base is in the UK).
- Competent in standard MS Office packages, advanced Excel skills would be an advantage.
- Understanding of automotive FMVSS and ECE regulations would be advantageous.
