Role:
My client is transforming the way it delivers value from data and is implementing a new Analytics Platform to help execute that vision. We have a vacancy for an Analytics Platform DevOps Technical Engineer to work with the in-house team and third parties to build out the next phase of capabilities on the Microsoft Azure Platform and to monitor and operate the Azure platform. The role will be working in a Scrum Team to build the foundations of a DevOps Service with a focus on implementing platform automation, Data Scientist and Developer self-serve, CI/CD, for analytics development on the Microsoft Azure Platform. The focus of the role will be on building and implementing the Azure platform (adopting best practice) and then working within the DevOps delivery team.

Essential Requirements:

• Experience in DevOps on Azure and VSTS for Analytics Platform in Azure/VSTS
• Extensive experience of developing using the Azure analytics components including Data Lake Store, Power BI and Microsoft Visual Studio, Data Factory, HDInsight, Data Factory, SQL DB/DW, and SSIS
• Fully conversant with Agile and DevOps development methodology and concepts as applied to data-driven analytics projects. Including CI/CD Coding, security testing best practices, and standards.
• Must have experience writing scripts (PowerShell) to build and deploy environments using Infrastructure-as-Code, along with VSTS experience
• Experience implementing and executing continuous integration and continuous delivery strategies
• Experience with designing, building, and operating analytics solutions using Azure cloud technologies
• Data Management experience e.g. data profiling, large volume data handling
• Experience in automated data-driven testing PaaS, IaaS, VM, Windows Administration, Azure networking
