ARM is currently recruiting for an Assistant Commercial Manager to join a client based in London on an initial 6 month contract, offering hybrid working.
The Assistant Commercial Manager will be one of twelve highly experienced and skilled individuals, who carry out full range of day to day post award/post contract activities.
In this role you will work independently, managing a variety of low-to-mid complexity contracts for supply of materials/services, but also provide support to Commercial Managers.
Experience
* Contract commercial management and administration, including order-book reviews, periodic payment reviews, suppliers performance against agreed KPIs/SLAs, managing price increases, changes to agreed lead time, etc.
* Support contract reviews/negotiations during their term to ensure continued fitness for purpose with respect to scope, budget and performance change, risk and be responsible, day to day, for the development, negotiation and agreement of contract change requests via the variation process.
* Develop relationships with key business stakeholders and the supplier's commercial lead.
* Deputise for Commercial Manager(s) when required.
* Responsible for delivering timely and accurate management information covering aspects of Commercial reporting.
* Monitor and manage the contracts in accordance with client governance requirements and best practice.
* Manage Commercial performance reporting across contracts.
* Work collaboratively with other contracts and company departments.
Requirements
* CIPS Qualified, or equivalent.
* Computer literate and experienced in use of standard spreadsheet and Word Processing software packages.
* Ability to assimilate quickly new business systems such as Power BI, SAP (vendors, purchase orders, outline agreements, reporting) or other e-procurement and commercial systems.
* Ability to communicate effectively and to influence others both internally and externally up to Senior Commercial Manager level through presentations, negotiation, and written reports.
* Proven resource management and prioritisation skills in a highly pressurised environment.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills.
* Experience in reviewing and agreeing contract/variation terms and conditions and commercial schedules.
* Proven experience in a procurement/commercial function involved in service critical, high value, complex goods, services and supplies and working with multiple stakeholders.
* Experience in commercial negotiations.
