Assembly Operator in Fareham, Hampshire

Our client is looking for Assembly Operators to join their team in the Fareham area.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing quality finished components and assemblies in accordance with drawings and manufacturing build specifications to aerospace standards.

Ideally, you will have:
* Extensive practical manufacturing experience gained in a progressive, modern manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience in the manufacturing processes of Aerospace or automotive industry.
* Experience of performing manual assembly operations - manual dexterity.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
* Experience in Manual or Machine Welding, CNC Bending, Grit blasting, Soldering or Brazing would be an advantage.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Product testing such as: Insulation resistance testing, Dielectric testing, continuity testing, Helium leak testing, gauging, Digital calipers, Micrometer, NDT Processes (including X-Ray & Dye Penetrant Inspection).
* Raising Quality notifications, MIGOing production orders in SAP, etc.
* Working efficiently within agreed standards, without supervision (once trained).
* Working as a team member with a flexible attitude to work.
* Set up jigs, fixtures and equipment for assembly or test purposes.
* Familiarity with the Health and Safety policies for the company and to attend mandatory updates when required.
* Working with the PE team to improve tooling, processes and work instructions, including making prototype tooling and parts and writing draft work instructions.
* Working with the PE, QE, purchasing and Engineering team to introduce new products.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 37 hours per week, working hours being 8:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 - 13:00 Friday.
Our client is willing to pay in the £30,000 per annum area.
