Accountant - London (Hybrid) - 6 Month Contract - £375-£430 p/d (Umb)

Arm are delighted to be working for one of the UK's Largest Infrastructure companies, who helps to construct, upgrade, and maintain buildings and infrastructure across the country, for both private and public-sector customers.

You will be preparing accounts, understanding, and interpreting financial reporting standards, and developing financial models.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for producing timely monthly management accounts including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Preparation of the annual statutory accounts.
* Manage the year end audit process.
* Liaise with auditors to ensure thorough understanding of relevant accounting policies.
* Daily journal and cashbook postings and forecasting
* Responsible for purchase ledger and payment process, checking of invoices and retentions/deductions done correctly.
* Preparation of bank reconciliations
* Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations to a high level
* CIS Returns

Requirements:
* Newly Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA)
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills including working knowledge of formulae incl Vlookups, sumifs
* Strong knowledge and ability to pick up accounting and general ledger systems (HFM / Xero desirable)
* Knowledge of international accounting policies specifically related to the housing sector.
