Our story began in 1996 when our founder, Paul Huntingdon, decided to establish a recruitment business that was different from every other in the market. He commissioned research which revealed that a lot of people felt they experienced poor service from most recruiters. Paul wanted to change this. It was with this ideal that ARM was born.
From that point on we have achieved far more than could have been imagined nearly 20 years ago. We’ve experienced growth of 58% in revenues in the last five years alone, we've been recognised in over 40 awards and are proud to be ranked the 50th largest recruitment firm in the UK.

Each member of our senior management team has an average of 17 years’ industry experience, so you really are in safe hands. What’s more, an incredible 95% of our management team have been with us for over two years and 77% have been here longer than five. We don’t just hire great people; we develop them and keep hold of them.

Our customers are one of the most valuable parts of our journey; the longest standing have been with us since 1997. We are proud to have helped over 1,600 businesses and 5,250 hiring managers to find talent. Through our work we have enabled customers to innovate products, expand overseas, deliver business-critical contracts, win awards and survive through recession.
Then there are the tens of thousands of people who we have helped to progress their career or find their next rewarding contract. Without them we would not be where we are today.
Over the years the market has changed and so has our business. Since 2014 we have assembled our capability into two divisions:
- Corporate services which is orientated entirely around servicing high-volume recruitment contracts for large employers.
- Specialist markets which is focused around securing rewarding career and contract opportunities for candidates with a vast range of employers.
