Chassis Integration Manager – VLM in Gaydon, Warwickshire

PermanentJob Purpose:
The VLM plans and manages the activities of the Car line that are required for their task area throughout the entire product life cycle
The VLM is responsible for achieving all specific targets related to engineering, deadlines, costs and quality withing the technical area.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting the Team Leader in the definition of the technical and product development requirements and respective achievement
- Responsible for vehicle level/cross functional engineering decisions (VLM whole vehicle/vehicle architect)*
- Responsible for leading external engineering Team fostering analysis and facilitating decision making
- Accountable for reaching targets on direct costs, investments and supplier development costs, supported by the PL of Finance
- Responsible for tracking and managing overall components timing
- Responsible for tracking and managing overall components sign off
- Accountable for managing budget within the technical area of competence
- Responsibility for product design to engineering standards and legislative requirements
Qualification & Experience:
- Chassis Engineering knowledge
- Product delivery experience within R&D
- Programme management experience
- Engineering degree, preferably Automotive.
- Programme management qualification would be beneficial.
