Hydrogen Fuel Systems Engineer in Filton, Gloucestershire

You will communicate and establish connections with co-workers from across the world and across aircraft systems as you evaluate the integration of fuel systems within the aircraft. You will work with a team to test new aircraft systems throughout development using agile test methodologies and to assist a large fleet in resolving in-service difficulties.

Responsibilities

* Work together with the Design Office, Flight Test, and Program to identify and record the needs of the Test campaign. Understanding the System components that respond to the test requirements and contributing to the design of test procedures that both confirm requirement conformance and identify improper behaviour will be required.
* Work with different departments within the testing organisation to create instrumentation, gather data, and generate test results analyses in response to test requests. In order to do this, measurement chains will be agreed upon (instrument type, installation, and acquisition parameters), tests will be conducted, system performance will be analysed, including interactions with other systems and physical events, and findings will be presented in a clear, concise manner supported by examples in plotted data.

Essential Experience

* Hydraulics Systems Testing and/or Mechanical Systems Testing or knowledge of Hydrogen
Operations/fuel systems
* Analysis of System performance, test reporting and investigations
* Experience of definition of Instrumentation systems
* Familiarity with Logical Systems (AND, NAND, OR, NOR etc, SCADE (Safety Critical Application
Development Environment))
* Experience of System Integrity (Robustness to failure, Reconfiguration, FMEA, Monitors,
Alerts)
* An appetite for developing relationships to collaborate.

Desirable Experience

* Experience of systems testing techniques
* Awareness of safe ways of working in a Test Environment
* Experience in Analysing Computer based systems behaviours (Python, C++, Matlab, Labview,
Databases
* Hydrogen experience
