Manager – Exterior Trim in Gaydon, Warwickshire

Job Purpose:

Lead design and development of exterior trim components across all models.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Day to Day Project Management of commodities through all development phases into Design releasing and validation
• Benchmarking competitor vehicles and technology selection based on materials and manufacturing techniques
• Lead integration between AML functions and Suppliers
• Align cross functional targets, constraints and hardpoints at programme start and set DVP for system sign off
• Support negotiations and maintain cost deck

Qualification & Experience:

• Demonstrable expertise in exterior trim systems
• Intrinsic knowledge of Product Creation Processes
• Ability to lead and mentor less experienced team members.
• In depth knowledge of relevant emerging technologies and global legal system level requirements
• Suitable and related to role from within the Automotive industry
• Component and system DFMEA creation and updating
• Understanding of AML processes
• Bumpers, sills, grilles, ornamentation, wheel arch liners, spoilers, undertrays
• Degree educated or equivalent experience
• Management training
• Practical problem-solving methodology

Behaviours:

• Comfortable working to deadlines and holding others to account
• Able to influence others - even when direct reporting lines are not present
• Competent in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
