Software Engineer in Portsmouth, Hampshire

You will work as part of a small team under a software architect, working within an agile project environment to develop, integrate, test and debug software both in simulation and in payload hardware environments.

The selected applicant should be able to demonstrate competence with relational and no-sql database servers, setup, performance optimisation, replication, and other related tasks, as well as software development using Java Spring technologies across Windows and Linux application archetypes. Fluency with Maven, Jenkins, and Test Driven Development, as well as experience with contemporary development approaches.

* Proven track record in creating Java client/server or distributed software solutions.
* The capacity to solve problems and think creatively both alone and in groups to satisfy the demands of the project.
* The capacity to work independently and in a team to complete several tasks simultaneously under pressure.

* Message-based parsing (JSON & XML)

* Experience with both Windows and Linux platforms
