Import And Export Controller

We are looking for an import/export controller for one of our aerospace clients in Hampshire. The clients are an R&D company that design and manufacture components for the aerospace industry. The compnay has five operating units and they offer aftemarket services which cusotmer needs acrosss all domain. The develop and manufacture sensors such as temperature, pressure and speed sensors. They offer excellent outstanding research, design and development, testing and manufacturing services.
The Role:
You will be reporting to the logistics manager and will work within the companies supply chain structure. You will provide and sustain a complaint import and export services. You will also ensure that both imports and exports are processed in compliance to HMRS procedures.
Main Responsibilities.
* You will ensure that the company are completing correct shipping paperwork both internal hardcopies & online website information as well documentation & record keeping.
* You will also make sure to process duty Relief IPR/OPR as well as inward processing relief and outward processing relief.
* You will ensure NES export declarations & other import entries for export shipment are met as well as ensuring imports/exports comply with tariffs, duty regulations.
* You will deal with clearance of all incoming purchased parts including Sub-Tier & Mexico.
* You will be export shipping and create & manage paperwork and use of all portals
* You will have the authority to have the approval and validation of all commercial invoices ad ensure all customer deliveries are met.
* You will maintain knowledge of local, national & International customs procedures/practices and
be conversant with all the scanning and archiving of paperwork.
* You will fully interact with other departments and liaise with other colleagues to make sure standards are met.
Key Requirements
* You must be qualified in the shipment of Dangerous Goods by Air.
* You must be qualified in known Consignor Aviation Security Training.
* You must have proficient skills (Excel, Word, databases etc.).
* You must be enthusiastic and hardworking individual.
* You must be proactive self-starter and able to work unsupervised.
* You must be a good communicator, with the ability to communicate at all levels within and external to the business.
