Hybrid - 1-3 days on site in Basildon
My client in the motor industry are looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join their Enterprise Architecture team with a passion for solving complex technical challenges. The ideal candidate will have come from a strong development background.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high level and low-level architecture designs and solutions to support the eCommerce journey within Europe, aligned with Global Enterprise Architecture guidelines
- Provide architectural guidance to support cloud migration and cloud native development within Google Cloud Platform
- Lead architecture discovery to develop and mature product technical roadmaps and strategy aligned with business vision
- Facilitate technical and process reviews with global team members, presenting recommendations and guiding teams through implementation
- Participate in functional global and local architecture guilds, cloud centre for excellence groups and peer reviews of cross domain solutions
Skills Required:
- Ability to architect front end applications and other back-end services in Google Cloud Platform, using GCP native services (e.g. Cloud Run, GKE, Functions etc.)
- Strong technical skills with good knowledge of front-end architecture frameworks, patterns, and technologies, SPAs, REACT, Angular, Spring, jQuery etc.
- Strong understanding of micro frontend patterns and implementation including management of custom elements, web components etc.
- Strong Project Management skills including Agile delivery
- Non-Functional Requirements analysis, testing and subsequent system fine tuning, to design architectures to meet scalability, availability, and reliability goals
- Interoperability standards and methods of exchanging data effectively and securely (REST and GraphQL APIs, Web Services, Authentication and Authorisation processes)
- Robust understanding of security protocols and best practices
- Desire to learn and work with multiple teams, systems and technologies while working closely with colleagues within Enterprise Architecture globally
- Strong communicator, recognising your audience and adapting the approach used to communicate technical and non-technical information
Desirable Skills:
- Background in Software engineering -
Knowledge of other cloud platforms- AWS, Azure etc. and relevant other platforms or hosting solutions, e.g. PCF, Containers, Kubernetes
- Understanding of Content Management Systems, especially AEM
- Understanding of project management and product management tools, e.g. Rally, JIRA
- Skills in event driven architectures and associated technologies, e.g. KAFKA, PubSub etc.
Experience Required:
- Proven experience architecting solutions within GCP
- Experience in designing or implementing micro-frontends, back end micro-services and/or service layers
- Design and management of APIs
- Previous work within Cloud migration and digital transformation or modernisation projects
- Proven experience managing delivery of solution proposals to time, scope, and budget constraints within formal delivery methodologies, e.g. Agile, Product-Driven
Experience Preferred:
- Experience with content management solutions, specifically Adobe Experience Manager
- User Experience and Product Design, and development and evolution of conceptual designs to facilitate project scoping and design
- Experience with event driven architectures
Education Preferred:
- Architecture qualifications (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
- GCP Cloud Certifications, e.g. Cloud Architect
- Project Management and/or Software lifecycle management
Additional Information :
- The immediate team is based in Essex and is operating a Hybrid working program, and it is expected that the successful applicant will be onsite 1-3 days per week, to be agreed with the hiring manager.
