Advanced Resource Managers have an exciting opportunity for a Social Media and PR Manager to join one of their top clients in Portsmouth on a fixed-term, hybrid basis.
This role will see you developing communication strategies, handling high-profile media queries, and managing crisis communications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement short and long-term strategic publicity plans, enhancing business reputation
- Establish and maintain relationships with key journalists and influencers within print, digital, and broadcast media within the trade and consumer sectors.
- Manage response to crisis situations and contribute to company business continuity
- Work closely alongside the business leadership team to provide ideation and solutions supporting business change in line with needs.
- Organise promotional events (press conferences, open days) and supervise film and multi-media productions for multiple channels
- Leadership of the retained PR agency
- Produce weekly and monthly PR reports outlining campaign progress and coverage
Requirements:
- Excellent people skills and a creative flair
- A degree in English, Marketing, Public Relations, or Journalism (preferred)
- A proven background in a similar (Senior PR/Head of) role, ideally within an agency setting or in-house with an established household brand.
- Experience as a line manager - for this role you will be managing a Community Manager
- Ability to oversee multiple projects at various stages of completion, with a keen eye for detail.
- Proven track record of developing communication strategies, resulting in exceptional ROI
- Ability to write compelling and creative copy, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively
