Procurement Manager

Location: SE1, London
Rate: £420 per day (Inside IR35)
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 to 3 days per week onsite
Contract: Until 31st March 2027

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a major transport organisation, supporting its Fleet business area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with strong public sector experience to lead procurement projects from initial strategy through to contract award and ongoing contract management.

The Role

You will manage end-to-end procurement projects, working closely with engineers, project managers and internal stakeholders to deliver effective procurement solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading procurement projects from initial strategy through to contract award.

• Developing and drafting procurement strategies and contract documentation.

• Preparing contract award papers and single-source justifications.

• Managing procurement timelines, pipelines and reporting.

• Sourcing quotations and managing tender processes.

• Negotiating with suppliers to achieve value for money.

• Attending project meetings and engaging with key stakeholders.

• Raising purchase orders and supporting contract management activities.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience managing end-to-end procurement projects.

• Strong public sector procurement experience.

• Excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.

• Experience drafting procurement strategies and contract documentation.

• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly working with engineers and project managers.

• Contract management experience.

• SAP experience is desirable.

• Experience using procurement tools would be advantageous.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
