API/Integration Developer - SC Cleared

The Role

We are currently looking for a Senior API/Integration Developer to join a major public sector technology programme on an initial 7-month contract.

This is a hands-on development role focused on delivering bespoke integrations between internal systems, cloud platforms and third-party applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience across Azure and C#/.NET, alongside a proven background in developing and supporting complex integration solutions. Candidates with strong integration experience using Python or other comparable programming languages will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop bespoke integration solutions between multiple systems and platforms.
• Develop and maintain integrations with third-party applications and services.
• Build and support cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Develop integration components and applications using C#/.NET or another suitable programming language.
• Work with APIs, web services and other integration technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and application issues.
• Work closely with developers, architects, technical teams and stakeholders to deliver integration solutions.
• Contribute to technical design, documentation and development standards.
• Support testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance of integration services.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, reliable and maintainable.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance.
• Strong commercial experience in bespoke systems integration.
• Proven experience integrating systems with third-party applications/services.
• Strong Microsoft Azure experience.
• Strong development experience with C# / .NET or a comparable programming language.
• Experience working with APIs and web services.
• Good understanding of integration patterns and software development principles.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative Agile environment.

• Experience with Python.
• REST / SOAP APIs.
• Microservices and cloud-native development.
• Azure integration services.
• CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Experience integrating legacy and modern systems.
• Experience working within large, complex or highly regulated organisations.
