Contract: Full-time Contractor (Outside IR35), Competitive Day Rate
Start Date: ASAP
Recruitment ARM is recruiting for an experienced Site HSE Advisor to join a major energy infrastructure project supporting decommissioning and carbon capture activities.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety and environmental performance throughout the engineering, procurement, installation and construction (EPIC) phases of a high-profile project.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture across the site through workforce engagement and training.
- Conduct regular HSE inspections, audits and site monitoring activities.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with project HSE requirements.
- Ensure equipment and site activities comply with relevant legislation and project standards.
- Prepare, review and support risk assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and safe systems of work.
- Oversee Permit to Work (PTW) processes and hazardous material controls.
- Monitor and report HSE performance, including KPIs and leading indicators.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote environmental compliance throughout the project.
About You
You will be an experienced HSE professional with a strong background in the Oil & Gas or major construction sector.
Essential requirements:
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent HSE qualification.
- Qualification in Health & Safety, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Several years' experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Experience supporting onshore construction projects.
- Knowledge of Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
- Experience with site surveys, investigations and construction safety management.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently while supporting project teams to achieve high HSE standards.
