Advanced Resource Manager is proud to be partnering with the UK?s largest steel fabricator on the prestigious Hinkley Point Cproject. We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Fire Watcher to join the team.

Role Overview:
As a Fire Watcher, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of hot work activities by monitoring for potential fire hazards and responding immediately to any signs of danger. This is a critical role in maintaining a safe work environment on one of the UK?s most high-profile infrastructure projects.

Main Duties:

• Watch for fire hazards in the workplace while hot work is performed by other employees.

• Maintain the conditions and requirements stated on the Hot Work Permit.

• Keep flammable materials away from ignition sources.

• In the event of fire, extinguish it (if safe to do so) or activate a fire alarm.

• Call the emergency alarm number when necessary.

• Be aware of the exact location of firefighting equipment in the immediate area.

• Maintain constant means of communication.

• Keep visual and voice contact with other employees as much as possible.

• Inspect the entire work area before and during each shift, looking for potential risks.

• Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers if trained to do so.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Fire Watcher or in a similar safety role

• Valid Fire Watch or hot works safety certification (preferred)

• Strong awareness of construction site safety protocols

• Ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods

• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team

Qualifications :

• UK Accredited Firewatcher Course
• ECITB CCNSG 2 Day Safety Passport

Desirable

• NVQ Level 2 in Construction Operations - Skilled Worker
