We are looking for an Electrical Engineer, to work with LV Building Services, HV/LV Utilities Distribution, ATEX/DSEAR, Fire Alarms, Lighting, lighting protection and Earthing systems. You will work as part of a team that operates as the heart of our business so you will interact with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout your day.
Day to Day -
Working in a team who are responsible for operational, project or governance support matters of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Safety, the focal point for advice, information and expertise about policy, best practices and knowledge about distribution and building electrical engineering
Review power system studies including fault, load flow, protection and arc flash studies
Developing project scope and specifications with colleagues, often including those from other engineering disciplines
Review, amend and produce Electrical Safety Management documents, including creation and development of relevant company guides, standards and processes for Electrical engineering, including Interpreting and guiding on British, European and International standards
Developing and supporting cross-site engineering standards and engineering processes
Be involved with carrying out competency assessments of Electrical engineers and electrically competent staff and technical assessments of companies providing Electrical engineering services
Skills and experience we are looking for -
Hold an academic qualification, minimum HNC/HND, preferably degree level
Design and/or Operational experience of HV (up to 11KV) and LV Electrical Distribution Systems
Demonstrable HV and LV electrical engineering experience
Demonstrable experience of managing contractors and consultants
