PermanentARM is delighted to be partnering with our client who are seeking Mate's to join their fleet of passenger vessels on a permanent basis. Our client is a local authority based on the scenic island of Shetland.
These are permanent opportunities working a 2 week on/1 week off rotation or there is a pool position available where you would work across the fleet.
If you are not already based in Shetland, relocation to Shetland is required for this role due to the nature of work. However please note, there is no relocation package offered.
Responsibilities of this role include:
Carry out watch duties as directed by the Master.
Safe loading and discharging of cargo.
Perform customer care in relation to customers.
Liaise with vessel Engineer in regards to maintenance.
Certificates required for the role include:
OOW Unlimited CoC.
Updated STCW training.
PSCRB.
Designated Security Duties.
ENG1.
