As the Technical Author, you will be working alongside a market-leading Defence and Aerospace company who are constantly growing and developing. They are always looking to bring on new talents such as yourself and further develop your skills to enable you to grow within the company and industry.
You will be involved in:
- Supporting defence equipment with previous experience supporting mechanical/electrical/software/communication systems.
- Support the holistic data generation process: Technical Writing/Illustrating/Animation combined with process skills such as the development of the Data Management Requirements List (DMRL).
- Research and analyse complex technical information to produce high-quality technical documentation which will enable an end-user to operate and maintain the equipment correctly and safely.
Your experience may include exposure to:
- S1000D Issue 4.1 (Mandated) and S2000M (Desirable)
- STE100 (Simplified Technical English) (Desirable)
- 5Cs (Technical Writing) (Mandated)
- UK MOD Defence Standards including Def Stan 00-601 and Def Stan 00-600 (Desirable)
- Structured Content (XML / SGML) (Desirable)
- Unstructured Content (MS Word) (Desirable)
- Isometric / 2D Illustrations (Desirable)
- Animation (3D) (Desirable)
- CSDB / IETP Management using EAGLE Toolset (Desirable)
- Adobe Acrobat Professional (Desirable)
- 3D CAD (Desirable)
