We are looking for an Electronic Hardware Engineer to join us on a contractual basis and provide through-life design authority and technical oversight for the Military power production products and components. This will include maintaining consistency of a product's performance while ensuring its adherence to design & customer requirements. As well as supporting the technical/design queries, getting them to a speedy conclusion or conducting failure investigations, obsolescence, cost out or enhanced design changes.
Key Activities -
*Own and maintain the Configuration Management Plan for assigned program, responsible for execution of design data including changes to supporting technical documentation, drawings, bills of materials, specifications, etc,
*Supporting customer delivery requirements & providing engineering leadership to purchasing queries.
*Promote Technical excellence within team and support other groups through lessons learnt, process improvements, technical reviews
*Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring customer requirements are understood and met
*Provide Leadership and Technical direction to the Power Sustainment Engineering team
*Become the technical focal for products, transitioning into design authority post toll gate 9.
*Develop solutions to technical problems, including support to production, field repairs, and component obsolescence
*Support the implementation of design changes resulting from FRACAS activities (Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System
*Drive down the cost of production through the generation and execution of process improvement and material cost reduction initiatives through design
*Managing New Product Introduction (NPI) knowledge transfer and process transfer to ensure product is ready for manufacturing & meets DFM.
*Ensuring compliance with mandatory regulations, standards and company processes
Key Skills & Qualifications we are looking for -
*Electronic / Electrical design and product experience
*FRACAS data analysis
*Component Data Sheet Analysis
*Electronic circuit and schematic analysis
*Product and test failures diagnostics
*Qualification to degree level in an electronic discipline, or equivalent experience
*Experience of working in a similar role (sustainment engineering, post design, electronic/electrical design) and environment, not limited to aerospace
*Strong design document & configuration knowledge.
*Able to understand drawings / read specs
*Product knowledge & Expertise with People Management Skills.
*Engineering repair, fault analysis & production concession management.
