Our client, a leading provider of logistics and transportation services in Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join the team as the Vice President of Fleet Management. As a key player in the maritime industry, they operate an extensive fleet, encompassing various vessel types such as oil tankers, chemical carriers, and general cargo ships. In this pivotal role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing and optimizing the performance of the fleet, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to industry standards.

Key Duties:

3. Performance Optimization: Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fleet performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability.
5. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
6. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders in the maritime industry.
7. Budgetary Responsibility: Manage the budget for fleet operations, optimizing financial resources while maintaining high-quality service levels.
Requirements:
- Proven operational management experience in the maritime industry, with a focus on fleet management.
- In-depth knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and leading successful teams.
- Strategic mindset and ability to contribute to the development and execution of organizational strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees and industry certifications are a plus.
