Our client who are renowned maritime services provider, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Assistant Operations Manager to join their team in North East Lincolnshire. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our operations by devising, implementing, and reviewing operational processes and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a marine-based environment, with a focus on people management, development, and organisational skills.
As the Assistant Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our operational processes. You will work closely with central support and technical teams, developing and maintaining operational standards to meet both Company and Customer expectations. This role requires confident leadership, self-drive, and a collaborative mindset to foster effective working relationships across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Operational Process Management:
Devise, implement, and regularly review operational processes and procedures to meet Company and Customer standards.
Liaise with central support and technical teams to ensure alignment and integration of operational processes.
Maintenance Planning:
Ensure an up-to-date maintenance program is in place where appropriate, collaborating with technical teams for effective planning.
Work closely with the Technical teams to address maintenance requirements for operational efficiency.
Relationship Building:
Develop effective working relationships with Central Support and Technical teams, fostering a streamlined approach to operational delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance communication and coordination.
Best Practices:
Promote and develop best operational practices within the organisation.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to continually improve operational efficiency.
Allocation:
Ensure adequate resource allocation to meet operational demand.
Work with relevant teams to optimise resource allocation based on operational priorities.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of a marine-based environment and operations.
- Proven track record in people management, development, and organisational skills.
- Confident leadership abilities with a strong team player mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to devise, implement, and review operational processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with maintenance planning and collaboration with technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
