PMO Analyst in Exeter, Devon

PermanentOur client are seeking a PMO Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis based in Exeter.
This position offers hybrid working.
The PMO Analyst will deliver work-packages, co-ordinate resources and manage specific work streams within an IT project, reporting to a Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Project Monitoring and Reporting: Collecting, analysing, and reporting project data to provide insights into project performance, progress, and potential issues. They often prepare reports and dashboards for various stakeholders, including project managers, senior management, and clients.
- Resource Management: Assisting in resource allocation and capacity planning for projects. This involves monitoring resource availability, identifying potential bottlenecks, and ensuring that resources are utilized effectively.
- ·Risk and Issue Management: Assisting in the identification, assessment, and management of project risks and issues. PMO Analysts may help maintain risk registers, track mitigation plans, and escalate critical issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improving project management processes and methodologies within the organization. This could involve suggesting best practices, creating templates, and developing standardized procedures to enhance project delivery.
- Budget Tracking and Financial Analysis: Monitoring project budgets, tracking expenses, and conducting financial analysis to ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Documentation Management: Managing project documentation, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, and other relevant records.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitating communication between project teams, stakeholders, and management to ensure everyone is aligned and informed about project progress and key decisions.
- Tool and System Support: Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of project management tools and systems to enhance project efficiency and collaboration.
- Training and Support: Providing guidance and support to project managers and team members on project management tools, processes, and methodologies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring adherence to project management standards and guidelines across different projects and teams.
Required Skill & Experience
- Previously worked in a project environment
- Able to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers of varying seniority
- Strong verbal communication skills, especially when liaising with clients and in managing team members
- Very good people interaction skills
- Ability to work using a close attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Self-driven - constantly looking to assist the business and drive self-improvement
