Warehouse Operative in Portsmouth, Hampshire

PermanentOur client are seeking a Logistics Operative to join their team on a permanent basis based in Portsmouth.
A current clean manual driving licence is required for this role.
In this role you would carry out goods in and dispatch duties. Collection of customer assets, van driving and general warehouse duties.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Goods in duties, unload vehicles, check and unpack receipts, including accurate and timely data entry to various databases.
- Picking stock for dispatch, checking, and packing goods in preparation for shipping.
- Asset tagging new customer stock received pre-storage into the warehouse.
- Move/transfer stock within the warehouse and between warehouses.
- Maintaining tidiness and organisation within all Bell Warehouses.
- Assist Bell drivers in Customer site shredding and asset collections.
- Van driving to support Collection and Deliveries to Customer sites.
- Inventory stock checks of assets held in the warehouse.
- Assist with waste collections and out loads of WEEE equipment to the recycle plant.
- Advise the management team immediately if any problems occur that have an impact on the business.
- Work with the team to ensure a proactive workflow
- To carry out other Warehouse related functions as required by the Senior Management Team.
Qualifications
- Advanced PC skills using a range of MS packages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously to see tasks through to completion environment
- Understanding Health & Safety risks of working within a warehouse environment and able to follow safe working practices
- Keen eye for attention to detail
- Able to work under pressure
- Willing to work flexibly and undertake a range of tasks and duties
- Ambition & drive to do well and succeed
- Excellent Organisational Skills, able to manage own time effectively
- Ability to work at a fast pace, still ensuring a high standard
- Understanding of Stock movement
- Ability to pass various security vetting and those as required for clients' needs
- A current clean manual driving license
Desirable experience
- An understanding of Warehousing, Logistics and Shipping
