Transportation Associate Director Project Manager in North West England

PermanentThe successful candidate will -
* Draw upon a proven track record to lead projects for or on behalf of local or national transport and other government bodies.
* Continually strive to improve the business value proposition and develop knowledge and expertise of the team.
* Help to develop new business opportunities whilst deepening key client understanding and relationships.
Candidates are expected to come from either project management, cost consultancy or engineering technical backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Reporting into the regional transportation lead and national sector lead, you will be a senior member of the transportation management team responsible for growing the existing team and building long term, sustainable team relationships with our most important local authority clients. You are expected to:
* Account management:
o Lead the account management team to maximise their impact.
o Enhance the reputation of our business.
o Increase our share of the clients spend.
o Exploit opportunities for cross selling our full spectrum of services & locations.
o Leading interfaces with design and engineering elements of our business.
o Upskilling others and providing career growth opportunity.
o Drive high levels of client satisfaction.
* Project leadership:
o Having leadership skills necessary to direct and manage the project team having responsibility, under minimum supervision, delivering portfolios and projects relating to highways and infrastructure; including pre and post project controls.
o Be the ambassador for Faithful+Gould, your profession and the professional institution to which you belong.
o Providing guidance and technical advice to different stakeholders, including chairing meetings.
o Clear understanding of and competence in project management and have commercial accountability.
* Technical leadership:
o Actively broaden your experience and expertise in line with the core competencies.
o Have an up-to-date and developing knowledge of legal and technical matters relevant to the work you do, and the law of the region or country in which you practise.
o Participating in relevant internal/external training initiatives.
o Applying the principles of quality assurance and environmental management.
o Managing the client relationship and service delivery.
* Team building and management:
o Growing and managing sector-focused team.
o Mentoring and developing your team.
* Attributes:
o Proven track record to lead projects for or on behalf of local or national transport authorities.
o Chartered with RICS, ICE, MAPM or similar.
o Lead business development and/or account management activities.
