Thermal Systems Engineer in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

Responsibilities

• Capture functional and performance requirements
• Develop system & component specifications
• Develop thermal system architectures
• Support project design team in providing guidance for package reviews, component details, piping & hose layout diagrams etc.
• System level cost & mass tracking
• Supplier liaison & management
• Develop system design validation plans and input into vehicle/application level DVP's
• System build & testing support
• Lead thermal benchmarking activities
• Develop vehicle/application & system level thermal targets
• Manage thermal system interfaces with vehicle/application
• Supervise CAE engineers to deliver thermal analysis activities
• Support project design team in providing guidance for package reviews.
• Develop thermal content of vehicle/application level DVP's
• Lead system and vehicle/application level thermal testing activities
• Develop system and vehicle/application level thermal test procedures

Requirements

• The successful applicant will have a sound Engineering background with 3 years of experience of successfully delivering Systems Integration projects.
• Degree in an Engineering or relevant Science-based discipline with technical background in vehicle systems design and development
• Experience in either:
• Thermal systems analysis and/or design
• A system engineering role
• An attribute engineering role
• Good Knowledge of requirements management, targets definition and specifications
• Knowledge of thermal system architecture design considerations
• Knowledge of thermal analysis tools
• Experienced in developing design validation plans (DVP's) and associated test documentation
• Methodical approach to issue investigation and resolution
• Literate in IT systems (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
