Job overview:
The Test System Department designs and develops state of the art custom test Hardware and Software, Test Harnesses and Documentation for all up and coming Avionics Products being designed and built within our facility. Working closely with 3rd party manufacturing houses to produce TE to our requirements. We also design and manufacture a variety of smaller test boxes, breakout boxes and test cables to support NPI development.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Execute the hardware design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned Test Equipment projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product program requirements.
* Support the liaison with external suppliers to ensure the delivery of appropriate solutions to the standards required
* Generate documentation for the equipment from original requirements through to formal release procedures to enable on-going support of the equipment to take place.
* Commission equipment and support verification, validation & integration.
* Ensuring equipment is taken into service by manufacturing in a timely manner
* Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure the appropriate solutions are designed and delivered
* Work collaboratively with teams to address organisational initiatives
* Present in technical and program reviews
* Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
* Experience of Test System design, development, and hardware/software integration ideally gained in an Aviation or similar high integrity environment
* Good problem solving and solution building skills
* Excellent communication skills to team, peers, and all levels of management
Desired Characteristics
* Experience of Qualification and EMC Test Equipment design, including an awareness of DO160 and MIL46
* Positive attitude, initiative, pro-activeness and an enthusiasm and passion
