Sytems Engineer in Colchester, Essex

Successful candidate will join a team of skilled, service focused operational support staff responsible for the administration and delivery of enterprise server and data centre services. Engineers will have experience and knowledge of delivering operational support to agreed SLAs. Familiarity of working within an ITIL framework as part of a Service Delivery department.
Candidates will demonstrate excellent technical proficiency, and analytical across a range of diverse technologies.
Be able to work as part a wider technology team, reporting to and working alongside our UK, Warsaw and Asia based team. Operating a 24x7 Service Delivery support framework.
Required role aspects -
* Technical knowledge / experience -
o Red Hat Linux operating systems and Red Hat Satellite support.
o Veritas Netbackup solution.
o Active Directory, GPO, PKI Certificates
o F5 Load balancers, ADFS and SSO
o Windows and Linux Server management.
o Microsoft MECM / SCCM
* Role / Tasking -
o Response and lead resolution of incidents and requests, via ServiceNow ticketing.
o Management of technical infrastructure including routine maintenance, patching and support. Assist other business teams' routine maintenance and patching.
o Management, and deployment of technical system, configuration changes.
o Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.
What we are looking for
- Operational focused, team worker, whom will take ownership and engage with all aspects of day to day operational, technical support.
- Excellent analytical and pragmatic approach to incidents, problems driving resolution.
- Effective communicator, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
Experience
- Experience within an operational infrastructure role.
- Demonstrate knowledge or accreditation / certification within technical remit.
- Experience in a wide variety of enterprise environments, ideally global organisations
