Stock Controller in Yatton, Somerset

PermanentOur client is looking for a Stock Controller in the Yatton area.
The ideal candidate would have experience in a similar environment with purchasing and stock control experience.
Main duties will include: accurate forecasting, ensuring stock files reflect reorder levels based on a capacity and supplier lead time, raise purchase orders while analysing demand and production requirements and scheduled deliveries. Manage open orders, run low stock reports to avoid backordering. Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies and invoice queries, manage returns to supplier. React effectively to sales and supply problems in order to minimise out of stock lines. You will be reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor and be responsible for managing 2000 stock lines to ensure product availability to the required service level.
Strong analytical and decision making skills as well as good communication, IT and organisational skills are core for the role. Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to deadlines, working under own initiative as well as part of a team.
Monday - Thursday 8:30AM - 5 PM, 45 mins break and Friday 8:30AM - 4 PM, 1 hr break.
Salary is in the range of 21-25k per year depending on experience.
