Software Engineer C# in Bristol

A leading Defence client of ours is in the market for a Software Developer to join a growing business unit within their UK team. In the role you will have overall responsibility for writing software development plans, deriving software requirements (initiatives, epics and stories) and the transfer of software to the UK and the implementation of assigned software modules.
The role will be based out of there Bristol office with the opportunity to travel internationally on occasion (Expenses covered)
Your Main Responsibilities
- Writing software development plans and processes
- Deriving software requirements (initiatives, epics and stories)
- Transferring 3rd party source, test and environments into their infrastructure
- Producing functional software products
- Conducting software integration tests and trials
- Supporting software/hardware integration tests and trials reports
- Problem solving during tests and trials
- Deputising for the Team Leader as required including line management
Your Experience
- Experienced with SW programming methodologies and languages such as C#, .NET / .NET Core & Able to Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Able to develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient, effective and robust code
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting
- Competent in problem solving and analytical techniques in a methodical and logical manner to solve development and integration challenges
- Development of appropriate software test approaches, plans and procedures
- Presenting formally at Test Readiness and Design Reviews / Integration events
- Software Tools - MS Office, Azure DevOps (previously TFS), Web Development software tools, MS Visual Studio. Fluent with functional, imperative and object-oriented languages
- Use of SYSML/UML
