Job Purpose Statement / Nature of work
* To provide IT solutions that support the door production department.
* To provide IT support on user applications. This will consist of supporting the ERP package along with customisations and reporting. Support may also apply to other applications, such as Microsoft Office, whilst making use of other support resources (internal or external) as required.
* When cover is required, support may extend to other areas within the IT department such as backups, networking, desktop/laptop preparation.

Main Duties: Job Specific Tasks
* Creation and development of software applications as required by the business.
* Through a use of a variety of business packages and software applications provide solutions covering all aspects of door production from initial customer engagement, through production and onto final delivery.
* Liaise with external parties with relation to IT needs within the door department.
* Supporting department applications; to include training of users when required.
* Log support cases via telephone or email.
* Manage open works tasks, including prioritization and escalation as agreed with the IT manager.
* Communicate to end-users, of varying degrees of experience, through a series of actions either by telephone, remotely or face to face.
* Provide of documentation and/or guides as required for processes and support.
* Liaise with the IT manager for continuous improvement on procedures and development requirements by business need.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the management from time to time.

Adhere to the safe systems of work, risk assessments and environmental practices.
Ensure the safety of visitors of your department and that they do not divert from the walkway without appropriate PPE.
