Senior Planning Engineer in Warrington, Cheshire

12-Months Contract

Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days at home)

The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a Nuclear Civil client, based out of Warrington.

Some of your duties will include:

• Develop, implement, and maintain project structures (WBS/OBS/RBS/CBS)
• Develop, baseline, and maintain project integrated schedule.
• Ensure tool-set alignment with financial and material demand tool set.
• Regularly update integrated schedule and provide metrics and schedule analysis.
• Resource/cost-loaded schedules for IBP and financial status of the project.
• Regular risk analysis updates and inclusion of key milestones
• Critical path analysis and progress updates
• Interpret results with Earned Value Analysis techniques.
• Lead Interactive Planning workshops and Rolling Wave meetings.
• Cost loading schedule and updating with forecast dates and EACs.
• Support commercial change process.
• Alignment of schedule to project change register.
• Attend and contribute to the business Scheduling Community of Practise.

What do you need to succeed?

• Extensive recent and relevant experience in a similar environment/business sector
• Knowledge of various contracting methodologies (e.g., FIDIC/NEC3/JCT etc...)
• Advanced knowledge of scheduling tool sets (e.g. Primavera/MSP etc...)
• Experience in quantitative risk analysis and forensic planning
• Full project life-cycle experience from the bid phase through to close out
• Schedule Management
• Resource Management

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering/project/construction management or related field
• Professional qualification (e.g., APM/Acoste/RICS) (or equivalent)
