ARM are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a permanent basis with a leading client in the Nuclear industry.

What you'll be doing

• Progressing the technical delivery of engineering projects, as allocated, in alignment with the Project Engineering Manager and Project Manager.
• Technically supporting the Commercial Department
• Producing engineering designs and associated engineering documents
• Reviewing concept designs, 3D CAD scheme designs, detailed manufacturing drawings and design substantiation by hand calculations.
• Producing concept designs, full 3D scheme design and 2D detail design for manufacture within SolidWorks all within the required timescales
• Providing analysis and understanding technical tender specifications, producing the technical aspects of tender returns and creating accurate tender design estimates

What do you need to succeed?

• Degree qualified within a relevant subject
• Experience working within the Nuclear or Defence industry
• Live SC clearance or the ability to obtain SC clearance
• Experience with 2D or 3D CAD
