Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Enfield, London

PermanentWe are looking for a Senior Embedded software engineer for one of our key defence clients based in London on a hybrid basis. The company are an innovative company based in London that work on next generation defence and security electronics products to combat various range of threats, they do this by having a creative and cutting-edge technology which themselves above and beyond other products in the market.
The Job
You will be reporting to the head of engineering manager. You will also oversee the entire design or a portion of it, from basic specifications to certified software. The Senior Embedded Software Engineer is an expert in software design, testing, and verification.
Please note travel between the United Kingdom and Germany may be required on an as-needed basis. Requests could be made with little notice.
Main Responsibilities
* You will define a set of requirements for a feature/bug fix all the way up to the system level; design and document a solution that fulfils the requirements; and implement, test, and verify the design meets the requirements using supported test evidence.
* This will entail scoping the task, defining resources, and estimating time frames. Monitoring project progress and reporting to stakeholders will be part of project ownership.
* You will oversee creating a software package for release, including configuring the release, creating the necessary documentation, and chairing the release meeting.
* The ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and so on to test hardware on the bench while running your implemented embedded software and verify that it works as planned.
Essential experience.
* 5 years or more experience working on embedded software designs.
* Proven track record of producing designs on time and within budget.
* Experience working on Radar or related DSP applications desirable.
* Experience in C++/C
