About the Role:
The Energy Division at ARM is currently seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer to join our Leading Nuclear Civil Engineering and Solutions Provider, working within defence, power, and decommissioning sector at their Warrington site on a hybrid basis.
Some of your Duties will include.
- Foster effective collaboration among Engineering and other functional teams.
- Correctly identify and apply procedures, codes, and standards to engineering and technical activities.
- Identify and manage task and project risks appropriately.
- Contribute to Project Safety Assessment process.
- Produce, review, and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation, and technical reports as assigned.
- Evaluate the implications of changes, concessions, and queries.
- Maintain engineering configuration to preserve design intent and integrity throughout the design lifecycle.
- Analyse technical issues to propose investigations and/or solutions, including process improvements.
- Support the Project Manager in planning, controlling, and delivering tasks and projects.
- Make engineering decisions within own area of responsibility and delegated authority.
- Act as Technical Authority or Engineering Lead when authorized.
- Ensure the highest standards of health and safety are applied within the immediate area of responsibility and ensure team members comply with company standards on health, safety, environment, ethics, and behaviours.
- Support business development opportunities.
- Prioritize personal health and safety, as well as that of others, in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and company policies and procedures.
- Support the business-winning process by providing input on or reviewing tender requirements, including estimates.
What do you need to succeed?
Minimum Requirements:
- Hold an engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, accompanied by substantial demonstrated experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to successfully execute tasks across various project types.
- Demonstrated experience in handling tasks of varying complexities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface effectively with colleagues from other disciplines.
Desired Qualifications:
- Membership in a relevant professional institute or extensive demonstrated engineering experience that allows for registration with the Engineering Council.
- Experience in managing engineering scope for projects, ranging from concept design to full Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases.
- Extensive breadth and depth of experience in commercial and defence projects.
- Possess Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards obtaining Chartered Status.
