The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Nuclear Civil Engineering client, to be based out of Bristol.

Job Overview:

As a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer, you will play a leading role in the design team, undertaking traditional, bespoke, and innovative designs of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures. Your primary focus will be on projects associated with state-of-the-art mechanical handling equipment and their process and electrical systems. However, you may also be involved in stand-alone civil/structural tasks for a range of sectors, including structural inspections and site surveys. You will design to various normal and extreme loading scenarios, including seismic design and provide technical leadership and expertise. You will also take on the role of Technical Lead on specific projects when required.

Some of your duties will include:

• Liaise with Technicians in the preparation of Revit models.

• Provide technical support to other members of the team.

• Delivering Nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support on

• projects for a range of public and private sector clients within the UK and overseas.

• Assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical and professional development.

What do you need to succeed?

• Significant experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.

• Awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards.

• Degree Qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil / Structural Engineer
