Senior Buyer - Guildford - Permanent - £Competitive

ARM are supporting a world leading Automotive design company with the recruitment of a Senior Buyer on a permanent basis.

The Senior Buyer will Support the establishment and ramp-up of Logistics operations at a specialised, small-volume automotive manufacturing operation. To be successful you will be key in the development and implementation of Procurement Strategies.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with suppliers to further develop relationships - also assessing potential new
suppliers
* Contract negotiation and management
* Liaise with Manufacturing and purchasing departments to avoid manufacturing delays
* Monitor and report the performance of suppliers
* Ensure best practise purchasing techniques
* To assist in the day to day running of the purchasing department

Requirements:

* CIPS Qualified (Desirable)
* Strong Negotiator - experience in agreeing contract terms
* Strong analytical skills
* Experience working within Automotive industry (Desirable)
* Travel to supplier sites when required
* Excellent organisational and communication skills in addition to strong Excel skills
