Safety Engineer – Combat Systems in Hampshire

ARM are recruiting for a number of Safety Engineer's - Combat Systems for excellent opportunities with a Key Defence Client based in Hampshire.

This is a great opportunity to work on projects for market leading defence clients.

As a Safety Engineer - Combat Systems you will be working on a key defence project and be responsible for;
* The development of Safety Case reports, assessing Safety Case validity and safety assurance including ALARP assessments and providing Safety Argument for Design Authority Approval
* Performing functional safety analysis using recognised methods.
* Risk Management, including Hazard Logs, Hazard Identification and Hazard Analysis.
* Performing Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA).
* System Safety Analysis; e.g. Fault Tree Analysis, Bow Tie Analysis.
* Software Safety assurance.
* MoD standards Def Stan 00-56 and Def Stan 00-55.
* Assessing supplier safety compliance, in accordance with legislative and contractual safety requirements.
* Safety Case reports and associated documentation.

You should have the following experience:
* Comprehensive experience of hazard and risk management processes
* An understanding of system development lifecycle against the standard 'V-model' from concept to disposal
* Experience with Systems Engineering tools such as Enterprise Architect and DOORS is desirable.
* Compilation of Safety Arguments using Goal Structuring Notation (GSN) is desirable.

Due to the nature of the sector, you will need to hold current and active UK Security Clearance.
