ARM are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to work on a contract basis for a leading client in the Nuclear industry.

What you'll be doing

• To comply with accepted Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) by undertaking inspections and tests where required to verify the works are carried out correctly to assure compliance with design, specifications, and drawings, or any Works Information requirements, including correction of any defects.
• To review of all required documentation to enable the works to commence, without the requirement for subsequent iterations.
• To challenge systems and processes as means to ensure best practice and continual improvement.
• To identify issues that are to be resolved by the delivery/construction teams using the appropriate processes and procedures by the agreed closure date.
• To assist the delivery/construction teams in the root cause analysis and definition of the proposed corrective actions. This includes liaison with other stakeholders such as designers, suppliers and sub-contractor.
• To undertake issues/non-conformances trend analysis and provide expert reports on a regular basis including link between Right First Time and Non-conformances.
• To assist the delivery/construction teams with the assessment of the Cost of Poor Quality. This includes assessing defects, cost and programme impacts and providing reporting on the findings.

What do you need to succeed?

• Experience of Major Civil Engineering projects, preferably in marine and offshore.
• Experience reading technical reinforcement drawings and in concrete technology
• CSCS Card

Details of the contract

• Initial 6-month contract
• Paying £400 per day Umbrella
• Looking to start ASAP
• BPSS clearance
• 42 hours per week
