ARM are currently recruiting two Project Engineers with a strong MEP and fit-out background to support a major aviation infrastructure programme in the South East. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-profile transformation project, working across both design and on-site delivery.

- Duration: 12 months (with potential extension)
- Location: Essex - Hybrid
Role Overview
You will support the delivery of fit-out and MEP-focused works across a live airport environment, contributing to both design coordination and construction activities. The role will suit someone comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and contractors while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage design coordination, including review of contractor drawings and technical queries
- Oversee on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality requirements
- Identify and manage defects and non-conformances (NCRs) through to close-out
- Review and approve contractor permits and site documentation
- Coordinate with Construction Managers to resolve delivery constraints
- Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of works
- Monitor progress against programme and validate reported activity
- Review RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, and CEMP documentation
- Provide technical input on construction methodologies
- Support the Project Manager with Early Warning Notices (EWNs) and Compensation Events (CEs)
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering fit-out projects, ideally within aviation or transport infrastructure
- Strong understanding of design coordination and document control systems (e.g. Aconex)
- Ability to manage and resolve technical design and construction queries
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to work on site at Stansted Airport up to three days per week
Desirable Experience
- Previous airport or airside project experience
- Civil engineering background, including groundworks and piling
- Experience with structural works, such as steel frames, bridges, or heavy lifting operations
