Process / Manufacturing Engineer in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

PermanentMy Client is looking for a Process / Manufacturing Engineer for their site Manufacturing in Nottingham.
They are a specialist design and manufacturer of COTS and bespoke electrical and electronic component and sub assembly solutions for their customers, especially those in the Space & Defence sector.
Candidates working in the following or similar roles, should apply: Process Engineer, Production Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer,
Qualifications.
* HND or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
* Proven experience in a similar role/industry.
Essential skills
* Knowledge of electronic components and their specifications.
* Experience with manufacturing processes specific to cable assembly, including soldering, crimping, and harnessing.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
* Familiarity with quality control procedures and techniques.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Project management skills to oversee the implementation of new processes and improvements.
* Proficiency in relevant software tools for process optimisation and documentation.
Experience:
* Proven experience in process engineering, preferably in electronic cable assembly or a related industry.
* Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures.
* Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
* Prior exposure to regulatory standards and compliance requirements in the electronics industry.
* Familiarity with ESCC/ESA or Defence specifications is an advantage but not a pre-requisite
