Principal Systems Engineer in Basildon, Essex

ARM are recruiting for a Principal Systems Engineer for a Long term contract opportunity with a Key Defence Client based in Basildon with the option of remote working.

This is a great opportunity to work on projects for a market leading defence client.

IR35 Determination: Inside

As a Principal Systems Engineer you will be working on a key defence project and be responsible for;
* Support MBSE model development
* Engage in engineering technical meetings with the supplier.
* Asses the design integrity of the design prior to formal design reviews.
* Working across the full engineering lifecycle.
* Managing all levels of requirements to enable design and development decisions.
* Influencing requirements and design decisions
* Working with and influencing key project stakeholders.
* Actively support knowledge sharing and exploitation of best practice.

You should have the following experience:
* Experience of using MBSE and modelling tools using SysML/UML
* High proficiency in design integrity for large / complex projects.
* Experience of working across, the systems engineering lifecycle.
* Experience and knowledge of UK security
* Self-motivated with a strong aptitude for problem solving and an ability to drive difficult issues to conclusion in support of team goals.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of delivery to a variety of internal and external stakeholders of varying seniorities.
* Requirements management.
* Experience of Safety related development

Due to the nature of the sector, you will need to hold current and active UK Security Clearance or at least be eligible to gain it.
