My client is looking for an Oracle APEX Developer to join them on a 6-month contract. You will work with their Digital team in creating the systems, algorithms, and applications that will provide information to our customers (both internal and external) however they want to receive it. The team produces data-driven applications to improve our current business and create new opportunities for our customers in the UK and around the world. The team is part of the Customer Support and Service Solutions line of business, which operates across the UK, providing innovative and invaluable support solutions to our customers.
Day to Day you will -
Support existing functionality including enhancements, modifications, and bug-fixes
Contribute to the design and development of new features
Test and evaluate code changes in cooperation with test engineers and end users
Support users as required as a second or third-level line of support
Key Skills & Experience we are looking for -
Extensive knowledge and experience in creating applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX)
Extensive knowledge of Oracle SQL, including data modelling
Extensive knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL
Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
Ability to write well-documented, high-quality, maintainable code
Experience in the software development lifecycle (in particular Agile and Waterfall)
Good problem-solving skills with a willingness and drive to find a solution
Ability to communicate effectively within a team and with a wide range of stakeholders
Experience or exposure to other mainstream object-oriented languages, e.g. Python or Java
Experience in the design of micro-services and APIs (REST, JSON and SOAP)
Experience with using DevOps tools, e.g. Azure DevOps
